Oh, this is so 1950's. Now I'm in my 50's and even back when I was in high school, it was quite apparent that the expectations for women were drastically changing. Women are no expected to get a job, compete with men at every level and be completely independent. Which they are. To the point where they don't even seem to be interested in men at all because they really don't need them for anything. Relationships have become completely disposable.
