Why are so many men single? It's quite difficult as all would acknowledge, but could it be because women are simply "less" interested in men in general? Or that they have been stung so many times in the past that it makes nearly everyone gun shy to even try? The main point of the story is that by the time women get to dating age, they have been so beset by unwanted attention and fear, that they don't even try anymore and hide in their bunker doing their best to avoid the barbarian hordes that they see men as. I'd be curious to see what women think of that theory and if that resonates with them. I think this is a major contributing factor for why men are single, if most women are literally afraid of and hiding from most men.
