Yes, I think the marriage contract needs to be redone to match reality. Instead of vowing for life, they should say something like we love each other and agree to live our lives together so long as we desire to do so. None of this "death due us part" stuff should be part of the wedding vow. The only time there should be a contract is if you have children, in which case, you should vow to stay together to raise that child for 18 years.
